I’ve had the honour of attending many great weddings this summer…as a guest, not a photographer and I sure did miss it! It’s been a very quiet time on the photography front for me but I’ve definitely been keeping busy in other ways. With some reluctance, I decided to take this summer off from weddings and other shoots to take care of a growing belly. As the arrival of our little one nears (Sept. 27th), I thought I would do a post on what’s been occupying a lot of my time (and mind) these days. (p.s. – I am taking bookings for next summer…I couldn’t stay away for that long!)

This is an especially special post for me as Victoria is my beautiful big sis and Bryan is officially my brother-in-law! Vic and Bryan, along with 30 of their closest family and friends, trekked down to the gorgeous beach town of Playa del Carmen, Mexico to get married in a traditional Mayan ceremony. It was an amazing wedding, followed by an epic week. Congratulations to the new Mr. and Mrs. Studnicki! xo

I’m very excited to be taking what feels like a very natural step into baby photography. Wedding photography is all about capturing the love between a new husband and wife; baby photography is all about witnessing the everlasting bond that forms between a new mom and dad and their newborn baby. Grey clouds and raindrops didn’t even phase this happy couple…they were too focused on the most important thing — each other. Congrats to Emily and Shannon! And kudos to their many family members and friends (especially coordinator extraordinaire Alexis Trejgo) for pitching in and helping out.
